Are you ready for Bike Month Toronto? The calendar is filling up with amazing rides, panel discussion and cycling related activities. Ward 28 (Toronto Centre - Rosedale) has a couple of very exciting events lined up.
On Thursday May 4, 6:30 PM at the Regent Park Community Centre, is hosting Ward 28 Bikes! - a forum which includes all levels of government and a chance to meet others working on local cycling issues.
Their panel will features Toronto-Centre MPP and Minister of the Environment and Climate Change, Glen Murray, Shawn Dillon from the City of Toronto, Ajandan (AJ) Sivam from MP and Finance Minister Bill Morneau’s office and Kristin Schwartz from CultureLink and Cycle TO, with opening remarks from city councillor and Deputy Mayor Pam McConnell.
Lemon Bucket Orkestra
Then on June 1 get ready to dance! At 7:00pm head down to the Music in St.James Park with Lemon Bucket Orkestra. A Bike-Powered concert by Tune Your Ride. This concert is sponsored by the St. Lawrence Market who will present a special BBQ in the Park from 5-7 pm. This event will also include information tables from: Cycle Toronto, Charlie's Freewheels and springtime tune-ups by bikeSauce.
