Toronto East Bike Festival on Saturday, August 13

Calling all East-enders! In conjunction with Wheels on the Danforth, the Toronto East Bike Festival will be happening this Saturday at Oakridge Park (3459 Danforth Ave). Tired of hearing about all the fun things the west-end is getting (*cough*Bloor*cough*)? Come by and show your bike pride in the East-side.

The event runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and features free bike-tuneups, a bike rodeo, "Cargo Creativity" workshops, and many more fun things.

There will be a ride led by CultureLink Bike Hosts program to the event starting at 10 a.m. from Eastview Neighbourhood Community Centre. This scenic 12 km ride will be through the Don Valley and Taylor Creek Park and includes a steep descent down Pottery Road. For safety reasons they will be walking down the hill.
