Flashback Friday: Ride a bike, earn a patch

These scouts definitely earned their “intelligent mode of transportation” patch (and put Pharell to shame with those hats).

Somewhere in northern Ontario, this photograph was taken in 1915 and comes from John Boyd Sr.’s Canadian military album. Whilst the older men were off at war, these boys relied on their bikes to keep the peace and the streets green.
