What is that bike you’re lifting?

It’s an Opus Urbanista from Sweet Pete’s. Lifting it wasn’t all that difficult because the frame is aluminum (only 33.73 lbs) so it’s pretty light for a cruiser-type bike.

What role does the bike play in your life?

In addition to my bike being my main source of transportation I also use it for cardio when I’m prepping for a fitness competition (along with the stationary at the gym). Biking is an amazing exercise and it’s low impact so your body’s joints stay healthier.

How often do you ride?

Pretty much every day since it’s my main source of transportation, however, I do cave and take the TTC in the winter months.

Do you have a favourite bike song?

Lynn Harrison’s Bicycle Bell. It’s a wonderful folk song inspired by Bike to Work Week and when I saw her in concert she had the ushers hand out bells to the entire audience so we could ring along when she sang that song.
